Throughout history, Mankind has found ways to exemplify people who went further than most could. Both sung and unsung heroes who have proven that the human condition is filled with barriers that we can overcome. Whether through bravery, courage, self sacrifice, comradeship and determinations; Regardless of their motivations, the flag they fight or fought for, the name they call god, or whether they ultimately changed the course of the battles they partook in, we can agree that they were all a credit to the human race.

It is in this spirit that we honor all who have been awarded by Blitz and Peaces at our Tournaments below

  1. Champion
  2. Best Painted
  3. Best Sportsman
  4. Purple Heart

Best Sportsman

Grace is a rare trait these days. The ability to be a good winner or a good loser is a rare commodity, whether it is with passive aggression, verbal abuse, and downright lieing about one's units' ability (which is technically cheating if caught by a TO). The ability to put aside one's quest for victory and help foster good relations and a even helping other players grow in their understanding of the game.

To Qualify for this award:

 1. Players army must have been awarded the highest scores for sportsmanship by the Judges
 2. Must not have have any penalties from judges
 3. Judges scores for the sportsmanship are also tallied into totals to determine the winners.
 4. While unlikely, in  the event of a tie, all players in a tie will be awarded the patch as they equally contributed to the good gaming community that B&P hopes to grow.

Purple Heart

Sometimes players have bad days. The best of the best could be brought low with enough snake eyes rolls (the rolling of 2 ones on 2 D6s). Players who lose all three matches of a tournament are sometimes down on their luck or possibly just trying a "revolutionary" list that didn't last through contact with the enemy. Whatever the reason, the player in any tournament who loses all three matches with a total score of 3 or lower gain a Velcro on patch of the purple heart. Historically given to those wounded in battle. The patch must be brought by the receipant to any follow up tournament and displayed in his bag patch area. He/she must continue to field it until another player is equally "wounded" and he can pass the medal to him by sticking it on his/her bag.

To Qualify for this award:

 1. Players must be have the Least number of victory points in the tournament
 2. In an event of ties, The player with the least number of victory points
 3. If there is still a tie, the player who played the fewest number of rounds in their Defeats matches will prevail
 4. The patch will not be given to repeat "winners"

MOH & KC

The Medal of Honour and the Knights Cross were two of the highest awards that could be awarded to either side in WWII. It was meant for acts of bravery that most men can only dream of. Given to individuals who put their countries before themselves and were willing to give their last full measure of devotion (some did and were awarded posthumously). The criteria for winning one of these is not for the faint of heart and would only be given to one who managed to snatch victory from the very jaws of defeat. For Generals who can keep their composure in the face of death and emerge victorious.

To be awarded either of these a player must do the following,

In a tournament game:

1. have to roll for Company Morale 3 times and have passed
2. Win the game in which the above criteria was achieved
